Configuration:Options
Configuration: Dictionary > Letters > Rules > Board > Design > Computer > Options
Remaining settings are collected in the last tabulator.
The whole configuration can be saved in a Preset. If this should be done automatically after closing the configuration dialogue, check the option save options on close.
If the option show debug messages is checked, additional information about calculations and program state are shown. Sometimes, this can help to find the reason for a bug.
With clear messages on new game the content of the message window is cleared on game start. If not checked all messages will be kept in there.
All messages can be stored at saved game with option add messages to savegame. If doing so, chat and status information will be available after loading that game.
The feature sound server concerns Linux only and is disabled under Windows. The installed sound server used to play wave-files should be inserted here, e.g. paplay for Pulseaudio or aplay for Alsa. Options will be applied; file to play is the last parameter.
At popup messages it can be adjusted which kind of information should not only be inserted in the message window but popups a further window. If the box don't show again was checked in that popup window, the behaviour can be reactivated here. Some messages can attract special attention by playing a jingle. The button controls whether or not the jingle is played. Different samples are embedded into the program but may be replaced by own wave files. To do so, a file with a dedicated name should be placed in the program directory.
game end: GameResult.wav own move: OwnMove.wav chat message: Chat.wav Scrabble: Scrabble.wav shortage of time (15s prior flag): Ticktack.wav (sample is replayed each second and must not exceed 1s therefore)
Embedded samples cannot be used with Linux. Here the wave files have to be applied as described.
In section additional it's controlled how frequently the program looks for updates. If you want to test beta releases check the appropriate option.
Menu language can be set in the field below. All provided languages are inserted after a test for update. If your favoured language isn't available, it's easy to create an own "lang"-file.
